Protect Children has published a research report. The report examines the experiences and consequences of sexual violence and exploitation faced by victims both online and offline. As part of the study, data was collected from 24,912 victims in 36 different languages. The research findings show that children aged 10–15 are among the most vulnerable groups. The perpetrators often come from the victims’ immediate social circle. Sexual violence is frequently linked to other forms of abuse. Although the effects can be severe, digital sexual violence is often downplayed.
