The Protect Children report was published in October 2026. It details the findings of the “Through the Lens” survey, in which survivors of image-based sexual violence were asked about their experiences. The research shows that for 85% of respondents, these experiences had long-term and far-reaching consequences. Sixty-nine percent reported feelings of fear, anxiety, and sadness, as well as difficulties in their daily lives. Forty-four percent experienced suicidal thoughts. Negative consequences were evident in various areas of life, including social life and career prospects. Difficulties were also experienced in interpersonal relationships. Nearly half of the survivors were victimized again through sexual assault.
