The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a global multi-stakeholder platform that was launched in 2005 by the United Nations. The Forum aims to enable open, inclusive, and constructive dialogue on issues related to Internet governance as well as international public policy matters related to the Internet.
Twenty years later, this report provides a comprehensive overview of the IGF’s work, its origins, and its development over the past two decades. It highlights the Forum’s participatory structure, its achievements, and the ways in which the IGF has supported and complemented political decision-making processes.
