“1 in 5 girls and 1 in 7 boys experience some form of childhood sexual violence (CSV) growing up. This is unacceptable because we know that childhood sexual violence (CSV) is preventable and that we can and will prevent it.”
The study, published in January 2025, was produced over an 18-month period with the help of a global community of 330 stakeholders and individuals from across the sector. The aim was to address the lack of resources and ensure a focus on long-term work and tackling the root causes of child sexual abuse.
