The 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will take place this year from 15 to 19 December 2024 in a hybrid format in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Under the theme “Building our Multistakeholder Digital Future”, representatives from business, academia and civil society will meet with high-ranking government representatives from all over the world to address the following four main themes in various event formats:
- Harnessing innovation and balancing risks in the digital space
- Enhancing the digital contribution to peace, development and sustainability
- Advancing human rights and inclusion in the digital age
- Improving digital governance for the Internet We Want
Many IGF events deal with the rights of children and young people to protection, provision and participation in the digital environment. Below we have compiled a list of sessions that address aspects of children and young people growing up in the digital environment. This will allow you to decide which parts of the programme are of interest to you. All sessions will be held in English and are designed to actively involve participants, whether they are attending on-site or online. The individual sessions can be entered in your calender on our website under ‘Calendar’.
Registration is required to participate in the IGF. It is recommended that you register before the start of the event. You will receive a confirmation that authorises you to access the on-site events. For taking part online, please click on the session of your choice and access this session's Zoom link from the IGF Schedule.
