On Safer Internet Day 2026, the European Commission presented an action plan against cyberbullying to protect young people on the internet. It is based on three pillars to protecting the mental health of children and young people online. According to the plan, existing programmes are to be strengthened and national action plans developed, information and counselling services expanded, and an app created that allows victims to report incidents and receive help.
