This is a guide for children and young people from 12 to 17 years old to understand the main objectives of the Council of Europe Strategy for the Rights of the Child (2022-2027).

The BMDV has presented a bill for the implementation of the DSA and asked for comments. The Digital Opportunities Foundation welcomes the planned establishment of an independent authority for the enforcement of children's rights in digital services as well as the intended establishment of an advisory board to advise and accompany the work of the Digital Services Coordinator. To mark Safer Internet Day on 7 February 2023, Children's Rights.Digital and ECPAT Germany presented a new tool for identifying and preventing sexualized violence online. It enables providers and developers to assess the risks of their content and establish suitable countermeasures. It also provides educational professionals with valuable insights into the initiation and progression of such acts of violence in order to strengthen the safety of children and young people in the digital space. The tool is available for download and supports the integration of digital threats into existing protection concepts.

The 17th annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was hosted by the Government of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa in a hybrid format from 28 November to 2 December 2022.
